The Honorable Harold "Pat" Welborn, Jr. serves as Pickens County Clerk of Court. He was elected on November 4, 2008, and began service on January 1, 2009. Clerk Welborn graduated from Pickens High School and attended Tri County Technical College. He served as a Pickens City Council member from December 2003 to December 2008. He has also served as a volunteer fireman and trained first responder for more than thirty years and was named Fire Fighter of the Year five times. He currently serves as Secretary for the SC Association of Clerks of Court and Register of Deeds.
