Cherokee County Clerk of Court

The Cherokee County Clerk of Court is The Honorable Brandy W. McBee. She was elected on November 2, 2002 and began service on January 1, 2003. Clerk McBee holds an Associates of Applied Science in Paralegal Technology from Gaston College and previously worked as a paralegal in the law firm of Saint-Amand, Thompson and Mathis before her election. She was recognized as Clerk of Court of the Year in 2021 by the SC Association of Clerks of Court and Register of Deeds.

Clerk McBee was appointed by SC Supreme Court Justice Donald W. Beatty to the S.C. Access to Justice Commission in 2019 and has been a board member of the Cherokee Children's Home since 2004.
